A man aged in his 30s is still being questioned this morning in connection with an attempted robbery of a shop in Co Cork yesterday.
At about 1.30 pm man entered a shop at Kilmoney Road, Carrigaline, and held up staff with a suspected firearm before leaving the store empty handed.
The man was later arrested and an imitation firearm recovered.
He is currently being held under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939, at Togher Garda station.
