A 27-year-old South African man was arrested in Dublin airport today on suspicion of having swallowed a large amount of cocaine.

He was brought to Beaumont Hospital, where 1.2 kilos of cocaine with an estimated street value of €100,000 was recovered.

The man had arrived on a flight from Sao Paolo in Brazil.
