A 33-year-old man is being questioned this morning in connection with the murder of a man in Dublin's north inner city last week.

Ben Carolan (58) was found dead at his home in St George's Place on Thursday.

The dead man was last seen drinking in a number of pubs on Wednesday night in the Dorset Street area.  There were signs of a struggle at his home and the dead man had sustained injuries to his throat.

The man being questioned was arrested at 11.00pm last night and is being held at Gorey Garda Station in Co Wexford.
