Man held in Dublin after drug seizure

Gardai from the National Drugs Unit in Dublin have detained a man in the city in possession of 15 kilos of cannabis.

Gardai from the National Drugs Unit in Dublin have detained a man in the city in possession of 15 kilos of cannabis.

The man was stopped in a taxi in Glasnevin. He had the drugs with an estimated street value of €200,000 in what is understood to be a black bin bag.

He has been taken to Kevin Street Garda Station where he is being held under section 2 of the drug trafficking act.
