A young man detained in relation to last Saturday's shooting in Limerick's O’Malley Park has had his period of detention extended.
The man, who is in his late teens was arrested on Saturday night.
During the attack a 27-year-old man escaped unharmed after he went downstairs to investigate the hurling of a rock through the front window. A masked gunman confronted the man who ran back upstairs.
He was pursued by the gunman and a shot was fired at him.
The gunman left the house and fired another shot through the bedroom window before fleeing the scene.
The man is being detained at Roxboro Road Garda station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act and can be held for a further 24 hours.
