HONG KONG - A Shanghai man, unlucky in love, climbed into a tiger's cage at the city zoo, knelt in front of the beast and begged it to eat him, the semi official China News Agency said yesterday. The tiger obliged by knocking him down, sniffing his head and then taking a bite at his neck.
Screams from horrified visitors attracted help and a veterinarian the tiger full of sedatives and rescued the man, who survived.
