Man gets 11 years for having heroin

A USED-CAR dealer has been jailed for 11 years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for possession of €2

A USED-CAR dealer has been jailed for 11 years at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court for possession of €2.2 million worth of heroin.

James McDonnell (50), Lindisfarne Vale, Clondalkin, Dublin, was seen by gardaí collecting the drugs from a house and hiding them in his car.

Gwen Mills (34), Kilcronan, Clondalkin, kept the drugs in her house in return for a small amount of heroin for personal use.

She was jailed for four years last July.

They pleaded guilty to possession of the drugs for sale or supply on October 14th, 2006.

Judge Katherine Delahunt said McDonnell was an extremely intelligent man who was fully aware of the consequences of drug dealing.
