Gardaí in Dublin have begun a murder inquiry after a man was found dead with head injuries in a flat earlier today.
The 54-year-old was found dead in the flat on Balbutcher Lane, Ballymun. A post mortem revealed he died from head injuries, but gardaí would not elaborate on how he may have received them.
The scene at Balbutcher Lane has been sealed off and a full technical examination of it will be carried out by the Garda Technical Bureau.
The dead man has not yet been named and no arrests have been made.
