Gardai are investigating the death of a man in a cell at Youghal Garda Station last night.
The 25-year-old man had been arrested earlier in connection with a road traffic incident. He was removed to Cork University Hospital around 11pm where he was pronounced dead on arrival. A post mortem will be carried out later today.
Earlier this week, another man died in a cell in a garda station in Kilkenny city. A post mortem later found that the man, a local pensioner, did not die suspiciously.
