A man in his sixties has been found dead in his home in Co Kerry.

The man was found in his house in An Daingean by a member of his family yesterday. He had last been seen in the area about two days previously.

Deputy State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster carried out a postmortem on the body yesterday, but the results have not been released.

Early indications suggest the man suffered head injuries. A Garda spokeswoman said an investigation is ongoing and no arrests had been made. She said the death was being treated as suspicious.
