An investigation has been launched after the discovery of a dead man in a house near Monaghan town.
The 44-year-old man named locally as Charlie Connolly was discovered in his home at Cornacassa, a mile outside the town at around 1 pm this afternoon. A family member made the discovery.
Detectives will not decide on how to whether to treat the death as suspicious until after a post mortem, due to be carried this evening.
