A man is due before Newry Magistrates Court this morning charged with conspiracy to murder and possessing explosives with intent to endanger life.

The man (30) was arrested by Police Service of Northern Ireland officers last Tuesday on the outskirts of Armagh when the car he was driving was stopped and a 200lb bomb was found.

The driver is believed to be from Cookstown, Co Tyrone.
