Man due in court over Waterford stabbing

A man is to appear in court this evening in connection with the fatal stabbing in Waterford city last night.

A man is to appear in court this evening in connection with the fatal stabbing in Waterford city last night.

The man, a 30-year-old non-national, is due before a special sitting of Clonmel District Court in Co Tipperary at 5 p.m.

Mr Thomas McAuley (44), of Farringdon Court, Ardoyne in Belfast, died after a fight on Manor Street at 8 p.m. in Waterford city.
