A man has been killed in a suspected hit-and-run incident in Co Offaly. The victim, in his 30s, was found at the roadside in Cappincur, Tullamore, at 4.40am this morning with serious injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to Tullamore General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
A garda spokeswoman said the scene was cordoned off and a technical examination was being carried out.
Motorists were being warned that diversions were in place.
