A 30-year-old man has died after the van he was driving was involved in a crash with a car in Co Donegal last night.

A 30-year-old man has died after the van he was driving was involved in a crash with a car in Co Donegal last night.

The incident happened at Brenter on the N56 in Dunkineely at about 10.45pm.

The 21-year-old male driver of the car was injured. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The dead man was removed to Letterkenny General Hospital where a post- mortem will take place today.

The road is currently closed for a forensic examination and diversions are in place.
