A Dublin woman has told a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court that she saw two men dressed in black knocking at her neighbour's door shortly before an occupant was kidnapped.

She told Mr Michael Durack SC, prosecuting, she was alerted at about midnight on the night by loud banging on the door of the building on the North Circular Road. Mr Martin Dunne (43), of Collins Drive, Finglas, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of false imprisonment of Mr Michael Godfrey and Mr Paul Carwood on April 3rd, 1993.

Earlier, Mr Durack told the jury that two masked men entered the flat on the North Circular Road armed with handguns. Mr Carwood was tied up and gagged with a towel while Mr Godfrey was bundled into his own car and abducted.

The hearing continues before Judge Yvonne Murphy.
