Man critically injured in Finglas shooting

A man is in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being shot in Finglas last night.

A man is in a critical condition in hospital this morning after being shot in Finglas last night.

Gardaí said a gang of three or four men arrived outside the victim's house in Ratoath Drive in a silver Subaru car at around 8.30 p.m.

Their target came to the door and around five shots were fired, at least one of which hit the man in the chest.

The man, who is in his 40s, is being treated at James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

There were no arrests.
