A man is critically ill in hospital following a hit-and-run collision in Co Meath this evening.
The accident occurred at 6.45 p.m. at Normanstown on the N52 between Kells and Navan.
A male pedestrian was brought to Navan hospital following the accident and he is in critical condition, a Garda statement said.
Gardaí in Kells have asked any person who may have information to contact them at 046-9240999.
