A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after he fell from a balcony in west Dublin.

A man is in a critical condition in hospital today after he fell from a balcony in west Dublin.

The man said to be in his 20s is understood to have fallen 30 feet from a third-floor apartment at the Rathbawn housing development on the Navan Road in the early hours of this morning.

The man was initially taken to James Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown but has now been transferred to Beaumont Hospital.

His condition has been described as critical.
