A 62-year-old south Tyrone man is to stand trial on 16 charges of rape, gross indecency and indecent assault on three schoolgirls.

The man, who cannot be named to protect the identity of the girls, was released on bail when he appeared at Cookstown Magistrate's court yesterday. The alleged offences took place between January 1963 and December 1978.
