A man who was charged in connection with the disappearance of foetuses from the mortuary in the Coombe Women's Hospital was remanded to appear in Kilmainham Court next Monday.

Mr Desmond McCabe (38), of Brandon Road, Drimnagh, Dublin, was arrested under Section 11 of the Criminal Justice Public Order Offences Act yesterday.

Mr McCabe was charged with entering the mortuary between 10 a.m. on March 15th and 9 a.m. on March 16th with intent to commit an offence.

Judge Desmond Windle remanded him on his own bail of £300 to appear at the court on Monday.
