Man charged over fatal Dundalk car crash

A 36-year-old man from Co Down has been charged with manslaughter following a road crash in which two people died.

A 36-year-old man from Co Down has been charged with manslaughter following a road crash in which two people died.

John Woods, from Upper Fathom Road, Newry was formally charged with the offence before Dundalk District Court today.

The charge relates to a crash on the Newry Road in Dundalk on February 5th last year.

He is also charged with dangerous driving causing the deaths of Eamon Curran and Kevin O'Malley.

After hearing that more time is needed to complete a book of evidence, Judge Flann Brennan adjourned the case to next month.
