Man charged over alleged air-rage incident

A man appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court yesterday charged with an alleged air-rage incident.

A man appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court yesterday charged with an alleged air-rage incident.

Mr Raymond McColgan (38), with an address in Derry city, was arrested early yesterday morning at Shannon Airport after he was taken off an Aer Lingus flight to Boston.

He was charged with being intoxicated on board the flight, and for disorderly conduct. He was also charged with refusing to desist from his behaviour.

Insp Tom O'Brien opposed bail on behalf of the State.

Judge Tom O'Donnell remanded Mr McColgan in custody until tomorrow, when he is due to appear before Ennis District Court.
