Man charged after County Down stabbing

A 30-year-old man is expected to appear before a special court in Newtownards in County Down today.

A 30-year-old man is expected to appear before a special court in Newtownards in County Down today.

He is charged with the murder of a man knifed to death in his home in Ballygowan.

The man, named by the RUC as Mr Joseph McQuade, 59, was found dead at a house on the Magherascouse Road in Comber.

The attack is not believed to have been sectarian.
