A man was arrested with heroin worth £200,000, Kilmainham District Court heard yesterday.

A man was arrested with heroin worth £200,000, Kilmainham District Court heard yesterday.

Paul Kendrick (35), of 10 Grey Road, Liverpool, was arrested at Kilmainham Lane on Wednesday night by a member of the National Drug Unit.

He was charged with possession and supply of heroin at Althan Court, Inchicore on February 16th.

Det Garda Paul Duffy asked for a remand in custody as the drugs had a street value of £200,000 and he believed Mr Kendrick would abscond. He said Kendrick had £4,000 in cash.

Judge Gillian Hussey said there was no question of bail, and remanded Mr Kendrick in custody to February 25th.
