Man arrested over Dublin shooting

A 30-year-old man sustained leg injuries after a shooting incident in Fairgreen, Saggart, Co Dublin, shortly after midnight.

A 30-year-old man sustained leg injuries after a shooting incident in Fairgreen, Saggart, Co Dublin, shortly after midnight.

He was taken by ambulance to Tallaght Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. A Garda spokesman said a man in his 30s was arrested a short time later.

“He is currently detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act (1939) at Lucan Garda station,” he said. “The scene is preserved pending a full technical examination and inquiries are ongoing.”
