A man in his early 40s has been arrested this morning in Drogheda Town over the murder of Paul Reay (26) over two years ago.

A man in his early 40s has been arrested this morning in Drogheda Town over the murder of Paul Reay (26) over two years ago.

The father-of three from Tredagh View, Marley's Lane, Drogheda was shot dead as he left home for a court appearance linked to a €400,000 cocaine siezure on the 23rd November 2006. His sister was also injured in the attack.

Gardaí believe the murder of the alleged drug dealer was a highly organised killing that had been planned weeks in advance. I

The man arrested this morning is currently being held at Drogheda Garda Station under section 30 of The Offences Against The State Act.
