A man has been arrested following an overnight crash near Tuam in Co Galway.
Gardaí said the man was taken into custody following the incident involving a bus and at least two cars at Carrownurlaur in Miltown.
Eight people were reportedly injured in the crash, none seriously.
So far this year, 370 people have died on Irish roads, 21 more than the same period in 2004.
