An 86-year-old man suffered cuts and bruises after being robbed at knifepoint in Co Antrim today.

An 86-year-old man suffered cuts and bruises after being robbed at knifepoint in Co Antrim today.

Two burglars - said to be aged between 16 and 17 - forced their way into the victim's home in Mandeville Avenue, Lisburn, in the early hours of the morning, police said.

He was threatened with a blade and forced to hand over a small amount of cash after his assailants rummaged around in the house. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
