Man (60) charged in London with Walkinstown murder

A 60-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in west Dublin.

A 60-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a woman in west Dublin.

Police in London charged him in connection with the death of 29-year-old Ms Georgina Eager, who was found dead in a house in Walkinstown on Thursday night.

The victim's body was discovered by gardaí after relatives reported her missing.

Ms Eager, a doctor's secretary and from Co Wicklow, died as a result of a stab wound to the back of her head.

Gardaí travelled to London after police arrested a man over a separate offence.

The man is due to appear at Camberwell Magistrates Court tomorrow.
