A man died after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a wall in Belmullet, Co Mayo, yesterday.
The crash took place just before noon on the Belmullet to Blacksod road at Binghamstown. The 59-year-old driver was the only person in the vehicle. He was taken to Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar, where he was declared dead.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old male pedestrian was critically injured when he was struck by a truck on Dublin’s south quays yesterday morning.
