A 17-year-old man was shot in the leg by masked men in a house in Coolock early this morning.
The incident took place around 3.50am when the men, who were armed with a handgun, kicked down the door of the house.
They fired one shot into the ceiling and then shot the man in the leg. He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where his condition is described as not life threatening. A technical examination of the scene is being carried out this morning by gardaí.
