NEW YORK - The widow of murdered black separatist leader Malcolm X, badly burned in a fire allegedly set by her grandson, is undergoing skin graft surgery, hospital officials said yesterday.

Ms Betty Shabazz (63), is in an extremely critical but stable condition in a New York hospital. She suffered third degree burns over 80 per cent of her body in the fire early on Sunday.
