An inquest into the death of a prisoner found in a bath will begin on June 1st, it was decided today.

Ronald Davey (24), is believed to have drowned in October 2005 after suffering from epilepsy and taking anti-depressants at Magilligan Prison in Co Derry.

The date was set during a brief hearing at a Coroner's Court in Belfast today. The inquest is expected to last about two weeks.

The court handed out a list of planned witnesses to lawyers today and they were invited to comment by February 11th.

Efforts to hold the inquest into the death of Davey, from Derby Road, Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, have been thwarted by a series of delays and a judicial review of the case in the High Court.
