Mr Philip Joseph Blaney (34), of Shimna Walk, Lurgan, appeared at a special sitting of Craigavon Magistrates Court at the weekend charged with murdering Ms Elizabeth O'Neill (59), from Portadown, last June.
Mr Blaney was also charged with the attempted murder of another Portadown woman, Ms Janelle Wood, on the same date.
Mr Keith Girvan (29), of Glenavon Crescent, Lurgan, appeared before the same court charged with possessing a document likely to be of use to terrorists. Both men were remanded in custody.
