Camp Zeist - Defence lawyers for two Libyans accused of the Lockerbie bombing yesterday sued successfully to have the trial start postponed, but lost a key motion seeking to strike conspiracy-to-murder charges from the case.

The presiding judge, Justice Lord Ranald Sutherland, said it was "extremely unfortunate" that a trial already delayed by six months had to be postponed again, but agreed to set the date back from February 2nd to May 3rd.
