Ireland has a "thousands to one" chance of being hit by a Chinese satellite which is due to burn up and crash land at the end of this month.
Current predictions indicate that the potential landing site "could be" Co Wicklow, the "magazine Astronomy Ireland said.
The satellite was launched in October 1993, but went out of control when its rocket motor failed to ignite. More precise predictions will only be available some hours before it is due to crash, and the odds that a person could be hit by it are currently "600 million to one", the magazine says.
