A light aircraft has made an emergency landing in County Down.

A light aircraft has made an emergency landing in County Down.

The plane was on its way from Prestwick in Scotland to Kerry.

It had been given clearance to land at Gormanstown in County Meath but opted instead to land in a field near Ballyedmond Castle at Rostrevor in Co Down when the weather closed in.

No injuries have been reported from the incident
