The nine Liberian refugees, including a boy of 15, who are seeking political asylum in Ireland, are still aboard the cargo ship moored off Waterford while awaiting a decision on their applications. The ship has been berthed since Monday of last week.

A Garda report on the applications has been received by the Department of Justice, but no decision has been made.
