A judge ordered Belfast City Council yesterday not to proceed with the partial closure of Falls Swim Centre on Monday. A cost cutting exercise was to have shut it at 4 p.m. daily.

Mr Justice Kerr told the council to wait until a special meeting on October 14th had reviewed the issue. The judge adjourned an application for a judicial review of the council's decision until October 15th.
