A leatherback, the largest of all sea turtles, was caught by an Irish trawler last week and then released. The turtle measured 6ft 5ins from head to tail and was caught by the trawler, Twinkling Star, off north Co Dublin.

The turtles are harmless and prey almost exclusively on jellyfish.
