A Spanish trawler, Eclipse 2, which had been taking in water off Mizen Head, arrived safely in Castletownbere, Co Cork, yesterday. A helicopter from the Marine Rescue Service at Shannon flew pumps to the trawler on Saturday night to pump its engine room.
A spokesman for Valentia Radio said the vessel was never in serious danger because other fishing vessels were nearby.
