The last three Irish prisoners held in Britain have been transferred to Portlaoise prison, the Minister for Justice, Mr O'Donoghue, has said. The men were collected at Stansted Airport in England yesterday and are now in Portlaoise.

Darren Mulholland (21), Dundalk, Co Louth, and Liam Grogan (23), Naas, Co Kildare, were each sentenced to 22 years last year for conspiracy to cause explosions. Anthony Hyland (27), of no fixed abode, was last year sentenced to 25 years for conspiracy to cause explosions. They were believed to be members of the "Real IRA" and to have been planning a firebomb campaign in London.
