La Amapola - Authorities have recovered the bodies of 33 workers killed in a landslide at an illegal open-pit gold mine in central Colombia and said about 40 others missing, including three children and two women, were presumed dead.

As weeping relatives returned to the site of Thursday's landslide, in the rural district of La Amapola, hope of finding missing loved ones alive was replaced by a wait to identify bodies.
