Murmansk - The Kursk nuclear submarine has surfaced for the first time some 14 months after a number of still-unexplained explosions sank the vessel with 118 men on board. The conning tower of the 20,000-tonne sub rose some 2.5 metres above the surface at the Roslyakovo dock to which it was tugged underneath the belly of a massive barge.
