Aston Villa have completed the signing of Republic of Ireland international Mark Kinsella on a two-year deal.
The 30-year-old midfielder moves from Charlton, where he had been since 1996, to become Graham Taylor's fourth signing of the summer.
Kinsella told www.avfc.co.uk: "The manager and the chairman both have great ambitions. I know one or two players have left during the summer but that happens at every club, and I'm delighted to fill one of the gaps.
"I'm looking forward to the future with Villa. It's a massive club and I want to help to bring success here".
Kinsella, believed to have cost the midlands club a fee of £750,000 sterling, has joined in time to make his debut against Tottenham at White Hart Lane tomorrow.
The Dubliner player appeared in all four of Ireland's World Cup matches and made over 200 appearances for the Addicks.
