Racing: The Irish "summer" weather has played havoc with the racing schedule as the Irish Turf Club was forced to cancel both tonight's meeting at Killarney and tomorrow's Clonmel card within the last couple of hours.

This evening's race meeting at Killarney fell foul of the weather after the course was subject to 15 millimetres of rain this afternoon and was been deemed unfit for racing.

There was some hope after an 8am inspection but officials were always cautious due to the unfavourable forecast.

An afternoon inspection at Clonmel found the course to be unfit for racing due to waterlogging and as a result tomorrow’s meeting was cancelled.
