Hurling round-up: Eoin Kelly clinically dismantled the Limerick defence to guide Tipperary into the semi-finals of the Munster hurling championship this afternoon.

The Mullinahone  man notched 14 points, 10 of which came from open play, as Babs Keating's side progressed to a last four meeting with Waterford.

Limerick, who had been slated as favourites after an encouraging league campaign, made the ideal start with two goals inside the opening eight minutes but were simply unable to cope with Kelly who pointed at will throughout.

Fittingly, the four-time All Star scored Tipperary's final three points but will have breathed a sigh of relief after Limerick had an injury-time goal, which would have levelled the scores, ruled out for a square ball.

In the Ulster hurling championship, Down proved no match for defending champions Antrim and ended up on the wrong side of a 2-23 to 0-12 hammering.
