A Dublin businessman has been cleared of a claim made by an employee that he would not pay his wages if he did jury service he had been called for.

Mr Justice Carney said he "wholly accepted" Mr Eugene Casey's evidence and he granted his costs.

He made his decision after Mr Casey of Casey Doors, Balydoyle, and his employee, Mr Jason Dempsey, gave sworn testimony. Mr Justice Carney said he believed Mr Dempsey had been "rather trigger happy" and his complaint had not been reasonable. No further action was required, he added.
