A jury has acquitted a north Co Dublin man who was accused of sexually assaulting a teenage babysitter in his home early in the morning.

The jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court found the 30year-old married man not guilty of one charge of sexual assault on the girl on August 8th, 1996.

He had denied the charge during the two-day trial before Judge Dominic Lynch, who discharged him from the court.
